Psychological Assessments

Centacare can provide the following psychological assessments and testing:

  • WAIS and WISCs – assess cognitive ability in children and adults, eg IQ testing, intellectual capacity, cognitive function, other learning capacities such as verbal comprehension, working memory, executive functioning, etc. – cognitive strengths and weaknesses which can help inform education and learning. Helpful for assessing for certain learning difficulties.
  • The Conners 3rd Edition (Conners 3) is a widely used assessment tool designed to evaluate behavioral, emotional, and academic concerns in children and adolescents aged 6 to 18. It provides a assessment of symptoms related to Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and comorbid disorders, including oppositional defiant disorder and conduct disorder. The Conners 3 includes rating scales completed by parents, teachers, and the children themselves, offering a comprehensive view of the child’s behavior across different settings.
  • SCID-5 – a structured clinical interview guide for making DSM-5 diagnoses
  • SCID-PD – a structured clinical interview guide for assessing DSM-5 personality disorders
