Nature Art Making
Select from a diverse range of natural materials in your environment to craft fun and meaningful artworks. Working with these natural elements offers a rich sensory experience, allowing you to explore various textures, shapes, and colours. Creating art from nature not only enhances fine motor skills but also encourages discussions about the natural world and provides an opportunity for personal creative expression.
Weaving Together
Be present in the moment and use your problem-solving skills to create intricate weavings. Engaging in weaving fosters a sense of accomplishment and self-esteem as you see your creations come to life. The collaborative nature of the group helps build social skills, teamwork, and patience. Additionally, the process of weaving provides a calming and meditative experience, which can reduce stress and support self-regulation.
Mindfulness Sensory Bottles
Craft your own glitter-filled sensory bottle to take home. Sensory bottles offer emotional benefits for children by providing a calming and soothing activity that helps regulate their emotions. The process of filling and shaking the bottles can be calming, promoting mindfulness, relaxation and focus as you watch the glitter transform inside. This can be taken home as a helpful resource to support yourself beyond the art group.
