headspace official charity partner of The Push-Up Challenge

Support better mental health with every push-up this June.

headspace is proud to return as a charity partner of The Push-Up Challenge 2025, alongside Lifeline. From 4–26 June, Aussies will take on 3,214 push-ups in 23 days—honouring the 3,214 lives lost to suicide in 2023.

Already, schools, gyms, workplaces and individuals are signing up to push for change. Funds raised for headspace will support youth-focused programs, improve access to services, and break down stigma around mental health.

Ready to make an impact? Whether you're a push-up pro or prefer squats and sit-ups, there’s a way for everyone to get involved.

Empowering Young Women Through Creativity

Art therapy initiative receives strong support ahead of July launch.

A new art therapy group for young women in Griffith is already receiving strong community support before it even begins.
Part of Centacare’s SETS (Settlement Engagement and Transition Support) program, the group offers a safe, culturally inclusive space for young culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) women to connect, express emotions, and share stories through art.

Sessions will run monthly for two hours, featuring creative projects, discussions, and guest speakers like local artist Sharon De Valentin and TAFE Aboriginal support officer Melissa Cummings.

Childhood Trauma Parenting Course Launches this July

Practical, empowering and entirely free!

We’re launching a brand-new online course designed to support parents and caregivers of children who’ve experienced trauma.

Understanding the Impacts of Trauma on a Child’s Development is a free, three-week program that explores how trauma affects a child’s brain, behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

Running weekly from July 23, this free course provides practical tools to help parents build resilience, strengthen relationships and create a safe, healing environment at home.

School wellbeing team gets creative piece by piece…

Connection, Collaboration & Play

During the school holidays, our School Wellbeing Team came together for two days of connection and learning. A highlight was a hands-on play therapy workshop with Emily from Piece by Piece Play Therapy, who shared how play supports children’s emotional expression and healing.

The session sparked great discussions, creativity, and cross-team collaboration—with staff from headspace Griffith and other programs joining in. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of play, connection, and shared learning in supporting children’s wellbeing.

We’re excited to bring these fresh insights back to our work in schools.
