Short- Term Intervention Therapy
What is short term counselling?
A therapist will use a number of approaches that will build on the skill set that you already have, draw on your previous experiences and strengths and support you to think differently about a situation to help you grow. The relationship you build with the therapist will be empowering and outcome focused.
Short-term therapy approaches make the most of the time the counsellor and yourself have together, so the counsellor will be regularly checking in to see if you are getting the most out of your time. You will also have the opportunity to take home resources and strategies in between sessions to make the most out of your journey.
Will this suit me?
Short-term counselling might fit your needs if you are looking to problem solve, gain some practical strategies, or have an issue that you need to work through. Our intake practitioners can work with you to ensure you are the right fit.
What if I need more support afterwards?
If the therapist and yourself identify that you might require further support, the therapist will guide and support you to receive the right follow up services.
