In 2020 Hunt & Hunt merged with Griffith firm Cappello Rowe Lawyers to provide premium legal services to the broader Riverina community.  Our Griffith team is focused on providing commercial, property, regulatory, trademarks and agribusiness advice to our business clients and the full range of personal legal services to our private clients.  The local Griffith team is supported by experienced colleagues from Sydney and offices around the country to ensure the full range of quality legal service can be provided. Our aim is to provide industry specific, innovative, cost effective and timely advice, on the ground in Griffith from our new office in the former Area News building.

We are committed to the communities in which we operate providing pro bono legal services through local organisations like Centacare South West NSW,  sponsoring regional cultural events like the Blue & Green Tie Fundraising Ball and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s visit to the Griffith regional theatre, and sponsoring local sporting events including a local touch football team and the Griffith races.

Rombola Family Farms

The Rombola Family has been farming for over fifty years, since they arrived in Australia in the 1950s from Calabria, Italy. They were part of a large group of migrants who helped transform Australia’s Riverina and surrounding areas into a dynamic, enterprising agricultural region.

Today, Rombola Family Farms sits on over 4,000 hectares of premium horticultural land in New South Wales and the Northern Territory. The company employs more than 300 seasonal contract employees and supplies produce to all capital cities across Australia.

Yenda Producers Cooperative

Yenda Producers Co-operative Society has been proudly associated with the Riverina community since the 1920s.

We have a long history of support for local charities, schools, sporting groups and educational foundations. We see this as a way of contributing and giving back to the community where most of our customers and staff live and work.
As an extension of this philosophy we encourage our staff to become involved in local causes, community and sporting events.

In addition to ongoing sponsorship, we provide support to groups and projects every quarter.

Griffith Aboriginal Medical Service

The Griffith Aboriginal Medical Service (GAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service which provides services to both Aboriginal and Non Aboriginal Clientele.

It is a primary health care service initiated and operated by the local Aboriginal community to deliver holistic, comprehensive, and culturally appropriate health care to the community, controlled by a locally elected Board of Management.

Murrumbidgee Irrigation are one of the largest private irrigation companies in Australia serving over 3,093 landholdings that is owned by over 2,300 shareholder customers within an area of 378,911 hectares. The irrigation water and drainage services we provide have helped create a diverse and highly productive agricultural region known as the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area (MIA). The vibrant communities of the MIA offer a range of education, arts, entertainment, sports and recreational activities.

Our core business is delivery of water through an extensive integrated supply and drainage network. The MIA is one of the most diverse and productive regions in Australia, forming part of the Murray-Darling Basin and covering an area of 378,911 hectares of which up to 190,000 hectares is irrigated. The MIA is home to over 50,000 people with the majority of jobs tied inextricably to the water we supply to farms and industry.

Established in 1912 following the commissioning of Burrinjuck Dam in the Snowy Mountains, the MIA was conceived by the government of the day as a purpose-built scheme, designed to feed and provide employment opportunities for a growing nation. The original vision for the MIA is as important today as it was over 100 years ago. In 1999 the NSW Government relinquished ownership of the MIA (and Districts) and we now operate as an unlisted public company (limited by shares), owned by the irrigators we supply.
