Understanding behaviour, building better days

Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) helps people understand the reasons behind challenging behaviours so they can build skills, confidence, and meaningful connections. Our practitioners work closely with individuals, families, and support networks to create practical, strengths-based plans that enhance daily life, reduce stress, and promote lasting wellbeing.

How Positive Behaviour Support works

Every plan begins with understanding the person, their strengths, needs, and environment.

Individualised plans that make sense to you

We explore your goals, strengths, and challenges to design a plan that supports positive outcomes at home, school, work, or in the community.

Skill building and communication strategies

Learn new ways to express needs, manage emotions, and strengthen relationships.

Reducing restrictive practices

Our focus is on safety and dignity. We aim to minimise or eliminate restrictive practices over time by addressing underlying causes of behaviour.

Collaboration and training

We guide families, carers, and support teams to ensure everyone understands and implements the plan effectively.

Delivered locally across South West NSW

Including Albury, Berrigan, Coolamon, Griffith, Junee, Leeton, Lockhart, Mulwala, Narrandera, Tumbarumba & Wagga Wagga and their surrounds.

6 Steps to Your Positive Behaviour Plan

Our structured six-step approach ensures clarity, consistency, and collaboration every step of the way.

  1. Build your team – Identify key people in your life who’ll work together on your plan.
  2. Data collection – We observe, listen, and understand your environment and communication style.
  3. Interim plan – Short-term strategies keep everyone safe while we learn more.
  4. Functional behaviour assessment – We explore the reasons behind behaviours to shape long-term solutions.
  5. Comprehensive plan – A full, personalised roadmap for positive change and skill development.
  6. Monitoring success – Regular check-ins, training, and adjustments to keep progress on track.
