A supported start to your career

Our Graduate Program offers a supported, hands-on pathway for early career clinicians ready to make a difference. You will learn, grow, and contribute to real outcomes for children, young people, families, and communities across South West NSW. With structured support, supervision, and meaningful placements, this program helps you step confidently into your profession.

What the graduate program offers

Our program is designed to help you build strong professional foundations while working alongside experienced practitioners.


Meaningful, varied clinical experience

Work with a broad range of clients across ages and backgrounds, strengthening your knowledge, skills, and intervention experience in real community settings.

Professional education & Development

Access structured learning, training opportunities, and ongoing upskilling throughout your 24-month program.

Supervision that helps you grow

Enjoy monthly clinical supervision (10 annually pro rata, discipline dependent), weekly program supervision during your first three months, then fortnightly, along with regular guidance from Senior Clinicians.

Dedicated development time

Take part in supervision, group learning, reflective practice, and other activities designed to support your ongoing growth.

Peer connections

Join a cohort of graduate clinicians and build networks across Centacare and wider regional services.

Real, meaningful regional practice

Experience the depth and variety of clinical work available only in regional and rural settings.


Eligibility & How to apply

We welcome applications from early career clinicians who are ready to grow, learn, and contribute to community wellbeing.


Eligibility includes:

  • Provisional psychologists, counsellors, or social workers entering early practice
  • Psychologists holding full AHPRA registration by 1 February 2025
  • Social workers and counsellors eligible for full AASW registration by 1 February 2025
  • Individuals motivated to work across community wellbeing, mental health, and family support

Preferred qualities:

Motivated, reflective, resilient, open to learning, and committed to delivering compassionate care.
